Software Guide
This guide will tell, if our interfaces are compatible with your favourite software.
It will help you to find the right settings in your software and also tells you how to setup the configuration of an ERC-Interface (ERC, ERC-3D, ERC-R, ERC-M).
This guide is not complete and will be filled with additional data.
Additional programs, especially if they don't have own COM-port drivers for rotor-controlling (e.g. Orbitron) are supported by PstRotator by YO3DMU.
ERC VERSION 2,3 (obsolete) is a 1-axis interface for azimuth-antennas. It has a fixed baudrate of 4800 Baud and understands a subset of the Hygain DCU-1 and Yaesu GS232B-protocol without any additional settings needed.
ERC-3D (obsolete) and ERC-R (obsolete) are 2-axis interfaces for azimuth&elevation-antennas or for azimuth-only-antennas. They have a fixed baudrate of 9600 Baud and the protocol can be selected between Yaesu GS232A and GS232B. The protocol must be configured with the service-tool according to the settings shown in the table below.
ERC VERSION 4 is a 1-axis interface for azimuth-antennas. It has a configurable baudrate (4800 to 38400 Baud) and various protocols can be selected (Yaesu GS232A and GS232B, Hygain DCU-1). Both, baudrate and protocol must be configured with the service-tool according to the settings shown in the table below.
ERC-M is a 2-axis interface for azimuth&elevation-antennas or for azimuth-only-antennas. It has a configurable baudrate (4800 to 38400 Baud) and various protocols can be selected (Yaesu GS232A and GS232B (including Dual-Azimuth by VE2DX), Hygain DCU-1). Both, baudrate and protocol must be configured with the service-tool according to the settings shown in the table below.
Whenever there are settings to be made regarding the COM-Port parameters, it is always:
Word Length (Data Bits): 8 / Stop Bits: 1 / Parity: None
There is nothing to be set regarding the RS232-status-lines (RTS/CTS/DSR/DTR)

1) Software does not use position-information available from the interface
2) Not compatible. Use PstRotator by YO3DMU instead
3) Logger32: The rotor function will not work unless you assign the Rotor with the ‘Edit Bands & Mode’-utility to the Bands and Modes where the rotator should work and unless you have a radio connected and switched on that returns the band and mode assigned
4) This Programm supports the DUAL-AZ-mode by VE2DX
